In SN, Contextual Search is a very powerful object. It allows us to help end users to deflect or quickly resolve their issues without involving the service desk operators. To enable that, we have to use Jelly (Service-Now native object) which it is not compatible with Service Portal.
To resolve this, SN has provided one work-around. You can get that work-around from here as shown in below screen.
But, there is one miss, whenever end-user clicks on any of the links, redirection happens. Above provided solution, doesn’t give any option to look deeper on the same screen.
With inMorphis enhanced Contextual Search widget, these operation(s) can be performed.
– Integrate with existing record producers
– View search results while typing
– View individual result items without leaving the current page
